View from the Netherlands: Care home technology

Balancing risk and providing a greater quality of life for care home residents, not just extending it.

That was the key take away from a second study tour of care homes and CLB Accoustic Monitoring in Amsterdam organised by Adaptive Care and Care England.

GHM Care’s Edward Parker attended the 3 day Study Tour on which care home providers and suppliers experience firsthand cutting-edge technologies and how other countries implement these into their homes.

Edward says: “I was fortunate enough to be part of this visit to Holland with Adaptive Care and Care UK. We toured CLBs head office and some fantastic care providers in Holland. It’s always great to get a new perspective on what is possible in care. The tour not only gave us the opportunity to learn from homes and experts in the Netherlands, but also spend time to reflect on those learnings as a group which comprised some of the sectors most forward thinking leaders from the UK.

“Our flagship product NexusCare goes hand in hand with the CLB accoustic nighttime monitoring. Many care groups utilise NexusCare to silence their current nursecall system to ensure a calmer care environment 24/7 by delivering alerts straight to handheld devices from any nursecall system. They also benefit from live reporting of nursecall activity and integration with digital care records.”
