GHM Care joined with our long term and valued customer Oakland Care to secure a High Commendation at this years Care Home Awards. The ceremony was held on Friday where hundreds of care homes came together to celebrate their hard work and achievements.
Edward Parker and Simon Hayler from GHM Care attended with colleagues from Oakland Care and were absolutely delighted to receive the ‘HIGHLY COMMENDED – Best for Innovation in Care, Multiple Oakland Care Homes, in partnership with GHM Care’.
NexusCare is a messaging platform that delivers nurse call alerts and other alarms directly to the smart devices carried by carers, eliminating the need for noisy wallboards and delivering alert event info directly to the hands of carers. Oakland Care has adopted NexusCare and already rolled it out to 6 homes across the group, with a further 2 existing homes and all future new properties to also have the solution.
Oakland Care homes using NexusCare no longer have audible nursecall alerts, creating a much calmer home-from-home environment.
Staff are able to receive alerts directly to their handheld, removing the need to return to a central office or wallboard. This improves the speed of response and efficiency in which they can deal with requests for help from residents.
