Caring Homes using NexusCare for smarter nursecall delivery and reporting
with Melissa Jeffery, Head of Customer Facing Technology and Special Projects
Caring Homes was established in 1994 and has grown to become one of the most highly respected independent care providers in the UK, offering residential, nursing, palliative and dementia care. Celebrating over 30 years in the care industry, the group remains family-owned, with 21 homes around the country.
Background
Committed to offering the best possible care to their residents, Caring Homes’ ongoing investment programme identifies opportunities that support those receiving and giving care within a constantly evolving environment. The group’s decision to incorporate innovative technologies in care monitoring, safety and interactions has significantly benefited both residents and staff.
As part of this, Caring Homes has introduced NexusCare from GHM Care to standardise their existing nursecall systems and to make them work more intelligently.
NexusCare works with all nursecall systems, regardless of their age or manufacturer, and this was key for Caring Homes who use multiple nursecall systems across their homes. The advantages of integrating NexusCare with the group’s various nursecall systems include being able to deliver nursecall alerts directly to carers’ devices, silencing noisy nursecall panels, automatically recording nursecall activity on the group’s digital care platform, and accessing real time nursecall reporting.
After a successful pilot at their Blenheim Court Care Home, NexusCare will now be introduced at all Caring Homes locations.
Edward Parker, Head of Sales at GHM Care adds:
“Caring Homes has shown a real dedication to using technology that will enhance both the residents and care teams experience, as well as utilising data for better care outcomes.
“We are delighted that our NexusCare solution was chosen as the partner for Caring Homes. The trial has been a great success thanks to the team at Blenheim Court. As with any technology, the solution provides opportunities but the extent of the impact is often based on the desire of those using it on a daily basis. Caring Homes has ensured those benefits are seen and will no doubt do the same across the rollout to other homes.”
